Welcome to 7th grade geography and 8th grade literature! I am excited to be starting my 5th year at Our Lady Queen of Peace. I began my teaching career years ago in San Jose, California. I have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and Communication from San Jose State University, where I also completed graduate work in the education program in 1993. Throughout the years I've worked in various capacities in education--from 4 year old kindergarten, substitute teaching to finally ending up here at QP.
I met my husband Brian at youth mass in high school--in the communion line. We have been married 26 years and have two grown children, Paul (25) an accountant in Long Beach, California and Nicholas (22) a student at Madison College. Our sons attended Blessed Sacrament School and Edgewood High School. I enjoy being part of a faith-filled community and watching students grow academically, socially and spiritually.
My most important job as an educator is to encourage students to be the very best version of themself--the person that God created them to be, and a person that they are proud to be. I'm looking forward to our year of learning and supporting one another. Blessings to you and your family!
